This is a unique extract that will help you build a picture of patterns, fluctuations and help support trading the volatility of in play horse racing.

The in-play odds are shown in separate columns, time stamping of odds are just over 1 recording a second (more like 3 stampings every 2 seconds).

Against the spread or total betting odds will typically be offered at -110 for each side, and it’s rare that it would ever go to +200. Moneyline odds that are listed at +200 mean that a team is a clear underdog in the bet. The favorite will usually be listed at -110 or lower, and the underdog will have a (+) in front of their odds. Fluctuations in the odds Odds will fluctuate from when they are initially released. This is due to betting companies constantly monitoring the market and reacting on trends to make sure they’re not leaving themselves exposed to losing money on a potential outcome. In-play odds movement are highly volatile. The displayed is captured at roughly 3 times every 2 seconds and is subject to the availability and accuracy of the provider as well as assuming the market allowed trading in-play.

Where a market suspends and re-opens after the conclusion of a race (photo finish or judges call) the odds movement shown is only during the race taking place itself, i.e. - we don't publish the trading odds after the race has concluded as these markets can re-open for several minutes while a decision is made.

The pre-race odds do not account for any late withdrawals or non runner declarations that may be made just before the start that could affect the movement of odds of other horses.

While we make every effort to ensure the data is reliable and accurate, we can not be responsible for how or where the data is used.

Betting Odds Fluctuations Against

Official Price is aimed at providing the most accurate reflection of the wagering market in relation to betting on thoroughbred racing.
Currently Racing Victoria, Racing NSW, Racing Queensland and Thoroughbred Racing SA have adopted the Official Price with more states to come on board in the near future.

The Official Price commences twenty-five minutes prior to the scheduled race time for metropolitan race meetings and twenty minutes prior for country race meetings in accordance with the following methodology:

Price Increase: the price must be available for at least 40 seconds and must be detected at least 40 seconds prior to the actual start time of a race.
Price Decrease:

a fluctuation will only be recorded if it is detected at least 40 seconds out from actual race start time.
The Official Price is determined for each runner as the best price available with at least six WSPs (Wagering Service Providers).

The price collection and dissemination process is fully auditable with price fluctuations collected from each WSP, which are used to determine the Official Price, time stamped and stored in a database.
